THE DISCOVER CARD

The Discover card is the major credit card; it is mainly issued in the United States of America. It was originally introduced by Sears in 1985, and was part of the Dean Witter, and Morgan Stanley, until 2007, when Discover Financial Services became independent company. Novus, a major processing center as well as used to be partners with the company. Novus logo has since been retired and replaced the network's logo.

The brand with the most cards is issued by the bank. Discover card transactions are processed through the Discover Network payment network. As of February 2006, the Company announced that it is for banks to begin offering Discover Debit Cards, Pulse payment system, which Discover acquired in 2005 made possible by.

Discover Card was introduced at the time; Sears was the largest retailer in the United States. In October 2004, the Supreme Court sided with the cards that Visa and MasterCard's exclusionary policies of the ruling upheld the challenge. Before this decision, Visa and MasterCard banks issuing the cards to see if they will be allowed to issue a Visa or MasterCard. Within days of the court's decision, Discover Card filed a lawsuit in federal court seeking damages from Visa and MasterCard.
