The powerful empire's of India. Has emerged in
between AD 8-10 AD. While the Palas dominated on the northern
and eastern India, Pratihara empire stretched over the northern
and western parts of India, and the Rashtrakutas created their
grip on the Deccan. The three Rashtrakuta's Empire lasted
the longest. The greatest leader was Dharmapala Pala, whose
range of empire Kannauj in Assam and parts of Orissa. Most
notable was Palas contribution to the promotion of Buddhism,
with Nalanda patronage of the university, and the creation
of Vikramashila Magadha University. The Palas many viharas
built for Buddhist monks and develop close cultural relations
with Tibet.
The Prathiharas, also called the Gurjara - Prathiharas drew
attention under Bhoja, who not only fought with rival kingdom
Rashtrakutas, but also focused on the promotion of the arts,
literature and architecture. The Rashtrakutas drew attention
under Krishna III, who had crushed the power of Palas and Pratiharas.
Its main achievement has been leading a glorious expedition
in the north of India and occupation of Ujjain. The Rashtrakuta
leaders were also well known for religious tolerance, equality
of view through their support for Saivism, Vaishnavism and Jainism.
At the extreme south is the Chola kingdom, which was established
in 9 AD, and rose to the pinnacle of power under Rajaraja
and later as Rajendra I. The true greatness of the Chola leaders
is a two-way street. One, the beginning of the occupation
and colonization of the island subordination kingdoms such
as the Maldives and Sri Lanka, and secondly, the promotion
of the village administration, which is the basis for Cholan
'Administration. The Chola Empire, continued for a long time,
and ended with the attack on Malik Kafur in 1319 AD.
Prophet Muhammad and Islam
Prophet Mohammed founded Islam in 6 AD. He preached
that there is almighty Allah, to which the man is impotent,
and each man received awards for their actions during their
mortal life. Islam has become a religion, with people in the
West Asia and Far East following this faith. The followers of
Islam are known as Muslims. Islam is just a religion of 5 principles,
which all Mussalman must respect the unity of God and the prophecy,
offering prayers 5 times a day, give alms to the poor, keep
fast from dawn to dusk during in Ramzan, and go on pilgrimage
to Mecca at least once in their lifetime. Koran is the sacred
book of Muslims, which makes the words of God as received by
the Prophet Mohammed. Muslim Invasion
The Muslim invasions of India began from the
first quarter to 8 AD, with Mohammed Bin Qasim attack on Sindh
and Multan. Later, in 1000-1026 AD Mohammed Ghazni made 17
raids in India. The main purpose of these raids was to plunder
the wealth, without long-term goal to settle down, and build
an empire. But Muhammad Ghori, who invaded India in 1175 AD,
was a noble ideal of establishing a Muslim in India. He Punjab
and Sindh, and later came into conflict with Prithviraj Chauhan
in Delhi. In the first battle of Tarain, Muhammad Ghori lost
Prithviraj Chauhan, but the very next year, he defeated Prithviraj
and thereby consolidating its conquests.
