Vivekananda did not advocate the emerging
area of parapsychology, astrology (one instance can be found
in his speech Man the Maker of his Destiny Complete Works,
Volume 8, of Class Notes Talks and Readings) saying that this
form of curiosity doesn ' t help in spiritual progress but
actually hinders it.
Each of the 20th century Indian leaders have acknowledged
his influence note, Gandhi to Subhas Bose. The first Governor-General
of independent India, Chakravarti Rajagopalachari, once observed
that "Vivekananda saved Hinduism." According to
Subhas Chandra Bose, Vivekananda "is the manufacturer
of modern India" and Mohandas Gandhi, Vivekananda, the
increased influence of his "love for his country by miles."
Gandhi, who also tried to promote a large number of reforms
in Hinduism itself, said: Swami Vivekananda's writings do
not require setting up anyone. They make their own irresistible
appeal. Many years after his death, Rabindranath Tagore (a
prominent member of the Brahmo Samaj) said: If you want to
know India, the study of Vivekananda. In him everything is
positive and nothing negative. National Youth Day is held
in India on his birthday, Jan. 12 to commemorate him. It was
a gesture more appropriate as Swami Vivekananda's writings
of the Indian youth involved and how they should strive to
meet their old values while participating fully in the modern
world.
Swami Vivekananda is widely regarded as inspired India struggle
for the freedom of movement. His writings inspired a generation
of freedom fighters, including Aurobindo and Bagha Jatin.
Vivekananda was the brother of the extremist revolutionary
Bhupendranath Shri Dutta. Subhash Chandra Bose one of the
greatest figures of the independence movement of India said,
Aurobindo Ghosh regarded Vivekananda as his spiritual mentor.
Vivekananda was a soul power if ever there was one, a very
high among men, but the work he has definitively left behind
is completely incommensurate with our impression of his power
and creative energy. We see its influence gigantically still
working, we do not know how it unclear where, in something
that is not yet formed, something unconscionable, great, intuitive,

Vivekananda Jamshedji Tata inspired to set up the Indian
Institute of Science, India one of the most beautiful establishments.
Abroad, they interact with Max Mueller. Nikola Tesla was one
of those influenced by the teaching of philosophy Vedic the
Swami Vivekananda.
Especially Swami Vivekananda helped to restore a sense of
pride among the Hindus, introducing the teachings of ancient
India in its purest form to a Western audience, free of propaganda
by British colonial administrators and missionaries Christians,

faith. Indeed, its first foray into the West would pave the
way for Indian religious teachers to make their own mark on

Swami Vivekananda's ideas had a great influence on Indian
youth. In many schools, students have come together and formed
organizations to promote the discussion of ideas and spiritual
practice of the broad principles. Many of these organizations
have adopted the name of Vivekananda Study Circle. A group
of this type are also at the IIT Madras and is popularly known
as (VSC). In addition, Swami Vivekananda his ideas and lessons
focused on the World, which is practiced in institutions around
the world.
