The Yagnapurush Kund
The Yagnapurush Kund India is the biggest step well. It has
a vast series of measures to a traditional "yagna kund."
During the day, these measures provide rest for visitors to
the complexity and night, a musical fountain show representing
the circle of life is played to a public who sits on the same
steps.
The Bharat Upavan
The Bharat Upavan, or "Garden of India", a lush
manicured lawns, trees and shrubs, dotted with bronze sculptures
of contributing to India culture, including children in India,
women of India, and heroes of India.
The Yogi Hraday Kamal
This garden trough, the shape of a lotus seen above features
large stones engraved with quotes from world luminaries ranging
from Shakespeare and Martin Luther King, Swami Vivekananda
and Bhagwan Swaminarayan.

Guinness World Record
On December 17, 2007, Michael Whitty, world record official
referee and member of the management committee of Guinness
World Records, went especially to India to submit a new world
record to His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj, head spiritual
BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. The case was submitted for Akshardham,
as the world's largest Hindu temple complete (see certificate).
The certificate states,
"BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham in New Delhi, India,
is the largest Hindu temple complete. It measures 356 feet
long, 316 feet wide and 141 feet high, covering an area of
86342 square feet The large, old style, Ornately carved hand-Stone
Temple was built without steel in five years by artisans and
11,000 volunteers. His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj, spiritual
leader revered by BAPS, the temple dedicated on November 6,
2005. "
Upon presentation of the award, Michael Whitty was quoted
as saying:
"It took us three months of research, poring over the
scale of architectural plans of the Akshardham and also those
of other temples of comparable size, to visit and inspect
the site before we were convinced that Akshardham earned the
title"
The prize was awarded to Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and since then,
signs have since been put in place around the complex in both
English and hindi to show this achievement.
