Amar Jawan Jyoti
The combustion in a sanctuary under the arched Gateway of
India since 1971 is the Amar Jawan Jyoti (the flame of the
immortal warrior), which marks the Unknown Soldier's Tomb.
The sanctuary itself is a black marble cenotaph with a rifle
on his cannon, the crest of the helmet by a soldier. Each
face of the cenotaph inscribed in gold "Amar Jawan"
(Immortal Warrior). This cenotaph is itself placed on a building
which has on its four corners four torches which are still
kept alive. It was inaugurated on January 26, 1972 by Prime
Minister Indira Gandhi, following the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Today,
it is customary for the President and the Prime Minister,
and visits by State invited to pay tribute on the site during
the ceremonies of state.
Laxminarayan Temple
Lakshmi Narayan Temple east to the west of Connaught Circus,
it is Lakshmi - Narayan Temple founded by Raja Bladeo Birla
in 1938 in the Odissi style of architecture. It is more known
as Birla Mandir. In the temple of this temple Marg, there
are the deities Lakshmi Narayan, Shiva and Durga. All are
highly decorated. Episodes from mythology are told on its
walls excellent sculptures. The temple is made of saffron
red and white representing all the marbles in a religion-there
is also Buddist frescoes and Sikhs and Buddhists Chinese bell.
Accommodation is provided in the Temple of Dharmashala. To
the east to Babs Kharag Singh Marg (Arwin Rd) Hanuman Temple
was founded in 1724 by Maharaja Jai Singh of Jaipur.
Laxminarayan temple is also known as Birla Mandir, the Laxminarayan
Temple was built by the Birla family in 1938. It is a temple
with a large garden and fountains behind her. The temple attracts
thousands of faithful on day Janmashtami, the birthday of
Lord Krishna.

History
The temple was built in 1622 by Vir Singh Deo, and renovated
by Prithvi Singh in 1793. Since 1938, funds for other renovations
and support came from the Birla family.

* The main temple houses statues of Bhagwan Vishnu and Lakshmi
Devi.
* The left side shikhar (dome) of the temple is house of Devi
Durga, the Hindu goddess of Shakti, the power.
* The right side of the temple dome Shiv Bhagwan fashion houses
in meditation.
* The right side of the entrance houses the god Ganesh Bhagwan
headed elephant wisdom, etc.
* The left side of the door houses borders Bhagwan Hanuman,
the monkey famous follower body, Bhakta of Lord Rama.
* The temple is spread over an area of 7.5 hectares. And built-up
area is 0.52 acres.
